22,000 Tons of Cooling Capacity via centrifugal chillers with 42” distribution piping; 380 MMBTU/hr Boiler Capacity - HW, 16 MW of Emergency Power, 6 ETS (Energy Transfer Stations) locations for heat exchange

The Echelon Central Energy Center is located adjacent to the Echelon Resorts Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The project provides the heating, cooling emergency power generation and main power distribution for the 83 acre Resort Complex, including 8,200,000 SF of casino, multiple hotel towers, restaurants, cafes, lounges, nightclubs, theaters, retail stores, meeting and convention space and pools and gardens.

Hot and chilled water generated within the Energy Center is distributed via an extensive pipeline distribution system to five energy transfer stations located throughout the Resort Complex.  The project also includes a 138kV electric substation adjacent to the Energy Center, which receives electric power form the local utility and distributes it to the Energy Center and throughout the complex.  Emergency / standby power generated from eight diesel generators located within the Energy Center are interconnected via paralleling switchgear to serve both the Energy Center and Resort Complex life safety and business critical power needs.  An integrated digital control system provides for optimal plant operational efficiencies.

The project was complete, and is now a part of Resorts World Las Vegas.
