Rutgers Busch Campus is one of five campuses for of the University. It is home to the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the School of Engineering and the School of Pharmacy, consisting of 58 academic buildings and 14 residence halls.

 

  • DCO was the EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contractor for the facility, and upgraded the existing Cogeneration Plant by removing three combustion turbine generators (CTGs) and heat recovery hot water generators (HRHWGs) and associated auxiliaries and replacing them with new Solar T60 CTGs and matching HRHWGs and associated auxiliaries.
  • The electrical design and construction allowed for a complete refurbishment of the existing 13 kV & 480 V electrical switchgear and installation of new motor control center.
  • Capacities of the plant include:
    • 17.1 MW Electric Generation
    • 15.1 MMBtu/Hour of heat recovery – hot water
