Rider University Trigeneration Plant

Rider University is a private university and ranks on U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges list and the Wall Street Journal’s Top U.S. College list. The University built a trigeneration plant to serve a portion of the academic section of the campus. DCO provides operations and maintenance for the University’s Trigeneration Plant located on campus. The trigeneration plant provides electric, heating and cooling to a cluster of academic buildings on the campus.

Capacities of the plant include:

• 1.1 MW electric generation
• 3.32 MMBtu/Hour of heat recovery – hot water
• 86 tons of chilled water – absorption cooling
