Marine Corps Logistics Base

The Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) in Albany, Georgia is adjacent to the Proctor and Gamble Albany facility. With the completion of the biomass cogeneration facility, excess steam was available. With land available on the north side of P&G’s existing facility, a new steam turbine generator was installed to provide renewable power to the MCLB.

• DCO designed and constructed the project, procured the equipment and commissioned the plant.
• The Steam Turbine Generator, cooling tower, diesel generator, and electrical equipment are located on Proctor & Gamble’s (P&G) existing facility in Albany, GA.

The MCLB project is part of a government initiative to have the base be a “net-zero” facility.
