Completion
Central Energy Center, 15,000 Tons Chilled Water, 160,000 MMBTU heating, 7.5 MW Emergency Power

The Inlet District Energy Center is located on a site formerly leased by Revel Entertainment Group (now the Oceans Resort) in Atlantic City, NJ. The project provides for the heating, cooling, electric power, and backup emergency power of the needs of the entertainment complex as well as Inlet area customers.

Hot and chilled water generated at the energy center travels via an underground piping distribution system to the entertainment complex, where it is routed to four independent energy transfer stations. Three independent electric power feeders from the local utility routed to serve both the energy center and entertainment complex. Emergency / standby power generated from diesel generators within the energy center are interconnected via paralleling switchgear to serve both the energy center and entertainment complex life safety and business critical power needs. An integrated digital control system provides for optimal plant operational efficiencies.

The plant is designed to have an ultimate capacity of 15,000 tons of cooling, 160,000 MMBtu of hot water production, and 7.5 MW of emergency power generation. It will serve power to the 3.3 million sq. ft. hotel and entertainment complex which includes 1,900 hotel rooms, 12 restaurants, and 6 pools.
