Completion
8.5 MW Electric

DCO Energy, LLC entered into an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Constelation New Energy, Inc. for the installation of one (1) new steam turbine generator (STF) that will generate a nominal output of 8.5 MW. Also, there will be supporting equipment and infrastructure to supply power to the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) in Albany, GA.

DCO designed and constructed the STG project.  The new STG plant will be located on the north side of the Procter and Gamble’s (P&G) existing facility in Albany, Georgia, according to an existing land lease agreement between P&G and MCLB. DCO procured the STG and balance of plant equipment as well as the installation and commission of the plant. STG is housed in a single stand-alone prefabricated metal building; all equipment external to the steam turbine building includes a cooling tower, diesel generator, and electrical equipment. The MCLB project is part of a government initiative to have the base be a "net-zero" facility.
