The Marina Thermal Project

The Marina Thermal Facility is a 26,000 square-foot central utility plant located in Atlantic City's Renaissance Pointe. Owned by Marina Energy and operated by DCO Energy, this Greenfield development project emphasizes the long-term vision of creating, in phases, a District heating and cooling system that will serve anticipated casino expansion within the Renaissance Pointe area.

Fred Eckert, Senior Vice President, DCO Energy, is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of energy related projects, as well as development of renewable energy facilities for DCO.

Through leading teams developing over $80 million in renewable energy projects, Fred has established a reputation as an industry expert on innovative uses of renewable technology, especially applied innovative uses of biogas.

With over two decades of experience in the industry, Fred has participated in the startup of several nuclear facilities and has managed several dozen multi-million dollar energy projects.

Fred regularly speaks at industry events, most recently the Biogas Industry Roundtable and Green Power: Harnessing the Power of Alternative Energy (Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce).

He is a graduate of the Drexel University and a licensed Professional Engineer.
