Edward
D. Lim
Vice President, DCO Energy, LLC
Mr. Lim is responsible for developing the electrical and
controls concept and approach to a customer’s energy
and electrical needs in support of business development activities
and proposals.
He oversees the engineering, design and procurement of major
equipment and systems, and testing, start up and commissioning of the
facility. He is the technical interface with the Utility and
the PJM for projects involving electric power generation. He also
provides technical support, operational procedures and training for the
Operations Group. He is currently involved in several landfill gas
generation projects.
He has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University
and has over 37 years' experience in the energy and electrical power industry.
Career Highlights
Managed the engineering, design,
testing, startup and commissioning of the electrical
and control systems for several combined heating and
cooling plants that also have on site generation. Projects
included are a 4 million square foot Hotel and Casino
and a 3200 person Correctional Facility.
Developed and prepared lump sum turnkey
design/build bids for a variety of energy projects including Cogeneration
and combined cycle projects up to 130 MW, electrical substations, control
system upgrades and central heating and cooling projects.
Directed the marketing, business development
and sales activities of a utility-owned energy services
company.
Marketed and sold consulting, engineering
and construction services to utility, industrial, independent
power developers and major OEM's.
Project Manager/Project Engineer on
thermal energy storage, power system upgrades and cogeneration
projects.
Principal Electrical Engineer on a $45
million standby diesel generator project for a 650 MW nuclear
station.
Prepared bids and provided technical
support as a switchgear Applications Engineer on medium
and low voltage switchgear and transformers.
