Donald
A. Butler, P.E.
Vice President, DCO Energy, LLC
Mr. Butler is responsible for managing the development of
energy related projects. His management role extends
from conceptual design, through permitting, engineering,
construction, and start up. His duties also include
managing procurement of equipment and services, negotiation
of legal contracts and agreements, budgeting, accounting,
scheduling, and reporting.
Mr. Butler is a graduate of the University of Maine with over 34 years
of experience in the management of energy projects.
Career Highlights
Participating in the development of a 2.5 million dollar
landfill gas to energy project located in Atlantic County,
NJ.
Participated in the development of a 20 million dollar
combined heating, cooling, and power facility for a county
correctional facility.
Participated in the development of a 50 million dollar
central plant and underground distribution system in
Atlantic City.
Participated in the development of a 70 million
dollar central utility plant and energy
improvement project for a Las Vegas casino.
Participated in
the engineering, construction, and operation of
a 50 Mw, 63 million dollar cogeneration project.
Served
for two years as a project manager at Philadelphia Electric
Company, responsible for implementation of capital
modifications to a nuclear powered electric generating station.
Served for two years as a project manager for Stone a Webster
Engineering Corporation, responsible for contract maintenance
and capital modifications for a nuclear power station.
Served for eight years, as a Business Development
Manager at Stone and Webster, responsible for developing new
business with investor owned electric utilities in the
NE.
Served for six years as Principal Engineer, Lead
Engineer, and Project
Engineer at Stone and Webster, responsible for engineering and design
of various electrical generating stations.
Served for three years as a Construction
Engineer at Stone and Webster, responsible for construction
of an electric generating station.
