Benefits
of a Fast Track Design/Build
1) A CHP or cogeneration facility can be located on or
adjacent to a Client site, significantly reducing the amount
of construction interface required. This simplifies the logistics of delivering
the energy
and thermal products, so that the interconnection becomes
an integral part of the facility. DCO works with the customer’s construction
management firm or facilities group to ensure architectural
symmetry as well as a seamless system interface and coordination during
the construction
process.
2) The Thermal delivery systems are integrated with the production
system. Taking advantage of every opportunity for heat recovery
through the latest technology, hot water or steam is produced
as part of the
generating process and distributed via the interconnection point(s) in the customer's building. Steam can also be
used in the chilled water
production process, by either steam driven chillers, or to
generate additional electricity to drive electric chillers.
The most efficient and cost effective combinations of equipment will
be formulated into a system specifically designed for each
site and client.
3) The Electric distribution system
is arranged so that it can be built and placed in service as quickly
as possible. Temporary and construction power systems are used only until
the permanent equipment is ready for commercial service. |
